Clarity. Insight. Direction.
|
The majority of us are capable of "surviving" most situations in our lives given enough time. But most of us do not want to settle for mere "survival" during challenging chapters of our lives. Most of us want to live optimally, with clarity, insight and direction.
Clients invest in working with me because they choose to give themselves the information, tools, and support necessary for their true growth and transition. |

Many clients just do just one or two appointments, to clarify an issue and develop a plan. Others go further to navigate through major life transitions, which move faster and smoother because we work together as a team.
Over the last 5 years, I've worked with over 1500 individuals, couples and families with diverse backgrounds and circumstances, with issues such as:
• Couples Work
• Children and Teens
• Divorce Coaching
• Post-Divorce Adjustment
• Addiction and Substance Abuse
• Illness/Bereavement
• Stress Management
I feel so grateful to have found a life's work that inspires and challenges me. I feel honored everyday to work with clients that come through life challenges optimally!
Frequently Asked Questions
What is your hourly rate?
I charge $85 per hour.
Do you take insurance?
I keep my rates very low because I do not take insurance directly. I set my charges to be comparable to the “allowable charges” set by many insurance companies; therefore many clients can submit their receipts from me to their insurance companies for reimbursement (as I am classified as an “Out-of-Network Provider”).
Are our conversations confidential?
Yes, what we talk about will stay between us--private and confidential. The only exceptions to that confidentiality would be extreme safety concerns that, by law, must be reported. These exceptions would include very serious suicide or homicide risks and child abuse.
My intention is to create a safe and private place for us to talk without fear or judgments, and I have never yet had a situation where I needed to report any safety concerns regarding my clients.
What can I expect at my first appointment?
When you arrive for your appointment, you will find our office is in a quiet and discreet location. I will meet you in the comfortable lobby right at our appointment time because I always try to see my clients promptly.
After a friendly introduction in my cozy office, we will fill out a few quick and simple forms together. After that, we can get to know each other and spend time talking about your specific situation. I can then give you the information, tools and support that are most beneficial for you and your situation.
How long does counseling/coaching take?
Many clients just come for one or two appointments to clarify an issue and plan a resolution. Others choose to work longer to navigate through a challenging chapter of their lives that requires greater insight and support.
My experience has been that virtually everyone begins to feel at least a little better during their first appointment.
It is simply a great relief to talk to someone who listens, understands and can give you information, choices and tools based on personal experience, training and expertise.
